Hi there,
I am trying to understand something about in wall speakers.
I am thinking (this is more of a thought exercise at this point than a real plan) of replacing my current 5.1 rear speakers with in wall speakers.
My home theater is in my living room. The sofa is ~ 12' from the tv, flush against the wall. Currently I have 2 Anthony Gallo nucleus pointing towards the sofa. If I were to put the speakers in the wall, they would have to be in the wall behind the sofa since there is only a wall on one side of the sofa (the room is L shaped).
Would that work? Could I put rear/surround (I know thy mean different things but I can not remember which is used in a 5.1 system: rear or surround?) in wall in the back? Would the speakers be diffuse enough to provide a good surround effect?
Hopefully this makes sense, if not I'll try and post some photos.
Cheers,
Alex.
