are the cheap cables any good(enough) ?

i don't want to buy a $10-20 cable, just to trash can it in 1 year, or so.

so, will a cheaper one work fine ?

There are definitely cables that cost less than that amount that are good. I'm sure that there are also some inexpensive cables that suck.

The ones at Monoprice seem very well built. How long of a cable do you need? Here is a six-foot cable for under $5 (but I don't know how much shipping costs).

I've used some relatively cheap fiber cables and they work fine. I wouldn't pay over $15 for one. Here's a decent cable 2m from the AH store for 13.99 with free ship --

I have been using the braided optical cables from monoprice and they work great. Wouldn't tie up alot of money in cables.

If you have a digital coaxial you can use RCA cable for the run too.
