Sub recomandation/comparison with a "twist"

Hello, I have recently bought a new audio system (a 5.0) that I'm very pleased with, but I would like some more UMF (it lacks bass in my opinion, it's not a surprise since it's only a 5.0 system). I Would like a punchy and detailed sub that isn't to expensive, maybe around 400$ and max 550$.

So here is the "twist", the system is a proson inphase (an uncommon Swedish company) and what I have heard they are cheap for the performance you get (I will list the specs), they cost around 1250$ with a rx-v775 here in Sweden. So I was thinking that if the system is at a good price/performance, maybe I should buy the sub from proson too? do you recommend their 8", 10" or 12" sub pros/cons? or are their any other speakers that I should consider?

Okey maybe I underestimate it but I don't really have the budget right now so I'm hoping I maybe could get some cheaper model. BTW that video... I have no words:eek:. could I get by with a cheaper sub if I play fast bass music?

I can not tell anything if proson inphase are good or bad. Specs are meaningless. IE: "Frequency range: 25-180 Hz". Without knowing how loud it actually plays at this range they are useless. HUGE difference between -6db at 25hz and -2db at 25hz

Can you get "away" - With your tower mains rated down to very low (again without range is near useless) - getting crappy sub is unlikely to improve anything

I'm in a small/medium size room and I don't even turn it up to it's potential. I've read it does well in a large rooms though. Look up reviews. How big is your room?
My room is small about 6x4m, I also noticed that svs is coming out whit a new sub, the pc-2000 if I remember correctly, does the cylinder construction make any big diffrence?
