Specifically why the drivers are angled inward. How does this effect the overall sound?

Seriously, I have no life.
I'm fairly new to building cabinets and I'm looking into starting a dual 18'' project...I was looking on Apogee's site and saw an interesting design. Can any of you guys shed some light on this particular design?

That is a dual 15" and not really a sub. It is a pro bass bin for live performance.

The F3 is only 45 Hz, but sensitivity is 99 db. There is an inverse relationship to bass extension and sensitivity.

That would be hopeless as a home HT or home audio sub. It does not go lower then a lot of bookshelf speakers.

I think the drivers are angled to keep the size down for transport and stacking.
