Star wars usage of dynamic range?

Decided to watch the prequel again last week with the volume set to 0dB, I recorded several peaks as high as 108 dB during bass heavy scenes. Needless to say it was just too damn loud and my ears are still ringing a bit. Is it mixed this loud or or is my system. Calibrated wrong? I have it set for 75 dB c weighted pink noise.

The old new ones or the most recent (Force Awakens)? Rogue One is stand alone. I haven't watched Force Awakens at home, but all three of the previous Ep 1, 2, 3 were mixed hot.

1,2, and 3. I understand 115dB for the sub and 105dB for the main channels is the maximum dynamic range, but this seemed to blow every action scene to the max.
