Speakers for Vintage Marantz

I have a 2220B Marantz that I purchased when I graduated in 1976. I would like some advice on new reasonably good bookshelf speakers. I am not an audiophile but I think that speakers are important. I need something that work well with my vintage amp. Thanks Dave

Ended up with Energy C-1's but it looks like the Marantz may never get activated.
