Speaker upgrade

So it's been a while since i have posted on here. I have the itch again and am looking at replacing my JBL setup with a new set of speakers. As i am running a a front projection i have opted for book shelfs this time around (room is under 1500 Cubic Feet). Here is what i have come up with. For now i will be keeping my sub (Athena P-4100)

Budget is under $1300USD

Aperion Audio

Intimus 5B - Fronts
Intimus 5C - Centre
Intimus 4B - Surrounds
Intimus 4B - Surround Backs

Any thoughts ?

So you want to change the entire lineup or just the front 3, I noticed with the effect speakers, surrounds and rears, as long as they are decent they will do the job, what you have is decent...

So just changing the front 3 will help the budget too...
Ascend 340se's - for 2 will be around $900 shipped...

Or a 340 center with 170's if the 340 are too big for you- $675

If you want to change the entire set add 200se for all your surrounds

You can get 2 focal 806v's with a 800v center for $1150..

Wharfedale diamond 10.2' with center and surrounds close to your budget..

Well then maybe 200se's all the way around..
Most bookshelfs are going to be rear ported, but not all...

Vanns is going out of business. The KEF Q100 are retailed at $550/pr. I bet if you call Vanns, they might sell you 3 pairs for $1,000 delivered. You can do 6.1 or just keep the 6th speaker in the closet for spare.

My preference is Focal 705V > $100 off and wall-mountable.
Buy 3 pair and use 1pc as a center channel > they are nice
5.1 with this set, can give you some really nice sound.

It might be helpful to know what aspect of performance are you trying to improve on. I mean, it's one thing to have an itch to upgrade, but it's usually a good idea to have some plan of where you'd like to end up.
