I just had knee surgery and have collected a bunch of speakers, so in my free time I wanted to try my hand at building my own speakers...I was wondering if anyone knew of any design software that was easy to use and understand?

This is a good website http://www.linkwitzlab.com/publications.htm. Id read up with some books before looking for software, btw which type of software are you looking for. Understanding crossovers, drivers, and cabneits are equal important reading. Speaker building can be fun, so start small to get a good grasp of concepts. Get some ideas together and post in the DYI section, Good Luck

First read some books. This is a good source.

I particularly recommend Vance Dickerson's Loudspeaker Cookbook and Bullock On Boxes.

When you have done a little reading, I recommend this software.

The software comes with two excellent large and thick instructional books.

Now unfortunately you have already made a miss step. The starting point for every good speaker is driver selection, not making do with anything around.
