Looked great, awesome visuals. Sounded great. Story, throw away standard fodder
Definitely will not go down as a classic. The grandson really enjoyed it, but kids seem to be the intended audience only and that means it isn't going to have rewatchability. Fun and had its moments, but I felt there were a few missed opportunities that could have been used to actually say something to kids in the underlying story the way the best stories/studios do and this studio KNOWS how to do it (Illumination). It wasn't a BAD movie, I just didn't find it great either. The trailer sums up what you can expect for the most part. Rental IMO.
