Seagate central & Yamaha rxa3030

My Yamaha rxa3030 is timing out when it tries to pull up music files on my NAS, the receiver was working perfectly at 7000 files, but once I hit 8000 files the receiver would time out and revert back to the Main menu. To get the files to pull up I have reboot the NAS.

Any help would be appreciated

in same folder? have you tried to move some of the files into subfolders?

Each music file is in the cd subfolder e.g. Music\yardbirds\smokestack.flac
