Repair down firing subwoofer feet

Hello everybody. I need to repair a subwoofer similar to this one:

Grey feet are broken so I need to replace them (original ones are made of plastic). I want to create new ones, but which material? Alluminium, rubber or wood? Has the wood plate at the bottom a specific function or can I remove it?

Sorry for my english, waiting a response!

I'd probably go with wood, but you can buy plastic ones at someplace like lowes/home depot pretty cheap too. Bottom plate isn't 100% necessary, guessing it was just to protect those feet lol. I did these on my FS-52s for a couple of bucks:

Good, so do you suggest for using rubber? Where can I buy them?

I picked those up at a local home improvement store. I used hard plastic because I didn't want to compress them as I tightened them down. If you keep the bottom plate, I'd use wood or hard plastic. If you get rid of it, you could use rubber or wood/plastic with a rubber bottom for the floor.
