my computer is currently connected to a yamaha rp-u200

this was perfect for my office and had 5.1 connection and a small profile that made it perfect for my desktop
it is now starting to fade, as it intermittently stops sending signal to my speakers so i am going to need to replace it.
i currently connect via a digital optical cable but could go to usb connection as well.
the big problem seems to be size i would like something of similar size or smaller, but i havent been able to find anything.
does anyone have any suggestions?
