aperion 4T x2 front
aperion 4B x2 rears
aperion 4C x1 center

...not sure on sub...

So what receiver would be recommended? Need at minimum 3 HDMI ports, not planning to go to 7.1 at any time in the future, this will remain a 5.1 system, any tie in to networked environment is a plus...

Don't think I need an amp...but if I do please let me know...

~$400 - $500 budget...

The yamaha rx-v667 is approx. $500. Don't know if it's cheaper elsewhere but you can find the 667 in the audioholics store for $549. Lots of features and many people have good things to say about Yamaha. You don't need an amp for these speakers. However, if you ever wanted an amp this receiver also offers preouts. Another possibility would be the Onkyo Tx-SR608. However, this one offers no preouts and has an older version of their Audyssey technology. I have owned mostly Onkyo and Yamaha over the years and have never had any problems personally with quality. I think the Yamaha is a little better value IMO. I feel that either one would be a great fit for you though.
