RCA or digital coax?

I found a cable and I'm not sure if it's coax or an rca video cable.

Is there a way for me to test and be sure, apart from hooking it up and listening?

Check if it says on the side 75 Ohm - If it does - Its coax

Two things.

1) Digital coax IS RCA cable. "RCA" is a connector type, not a cable type.

2) You won't be able to tell the difference by listening.

This is like asking is it a car or a Honda.....

Or asking if it is a car or a car....but I think the OP gets the point. Coaxial digital and video cable are built to exactly the same specs.

Most video cables would have a yellow rca end on them.

This is true for composite video cables. Component video cables can be green, blue or red as well.

FWIW, "digital" coax cables are orange and yer standard analog audio cables(which may be 75 ohm as well) are red and white.

Video cables RCA cables and SPDIF digital coax are inherintly 75 ohm unless they are extremely cheap or maybe really expensive (snake oil). Analog RCA connections don't necessarily have to adhere to the same rules, but in most cases they do to reduce costs. Reasoning, why have two different types of wire for producing cables when you can have one?
