Seriously, I have no life.
He posted a thank you to his fans within a few days of surgery- he was able to make it to the side of the stage, so it's better than just dropping onstage.

Saw him during his 'Casino' tour- great show. I first heard of him when he was with Return To Forever in about '75 and that genre really allowed me to improve a lot while I was learning to play more advanced stuff on guitar. He was a big influence.

Yes he's been posting on the social media accounts and looks to be doing well. I believe he's back in the US now, but couldn't travel at first (but has a second home in Munich IIRC).

Friday Night in SF was very good, another favorite of mine is his collaboration with Stanley Clarke and Jean Luc Ponty for The Rite of Strings.
