Question about Panasonic 3D ADJUST feature

When watching 3D movies I notice the images are not exactly lined up. I can see the faint outline of the other image. This is causing me lots of eye strain and gives me a headache. I found out that I can adjust this overlap using the 3D ADJUST feature in the menu of my Panasonic Plasma. But the miss alignment in the two images to make the final 3D image are not consistent based on the perceived depth. What I mean is that I can adjust the 3D effect so that objects closest to me (in front of the frame) are perfectly aligned. But the background image starts to shift. I am no better off. I can only affect one depth.

Can anyone advise me on this? Are there other settings that I should look at?

Thanks.
