Question about Monoprice HDMI cables

Just upgraded everything to HD & am purchasing the HDMI cables to go with. Is there an actual performance difference in HDMI cables? I will buy whichever cables I need to for top notch video & sound. My question isn't so much about the prices (Monoprice is already so cheap), it's really about the flexibility of the cable. #1 says in-wall installation & could be too stiff maybe? Plus, the color coding is nice on #2.

1) HDMI 1.3a CL2 Rated (In-Wall Installation) Cable (24AWG) w/ Net Jacket - 3ft (Gold Plated) $9.03 http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10240&cs_id=1024003&p_id=3991&seq=1&format=2

2) HDMI 1.3a Cable male to male 28AWG - 1.5ft w/Ferrite Cores (Gold Plated) - YELLOW $3.96
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10240&cs_id=1024007&p_id=3948&seq=1&format=2

My preference is #2, but I don't want to sacrifice ANY performance. Tell me If #2 is all wrong for me.

HDMI Cabling

HDMI 1.3a

Released 22 June 2006 - Increases single-link bandwidth to 340 MHz (10.2 Gbps). This requires a cable designed for these higher bandwidths. All previous versions used the same HDMI cable. HDMI 1.3 and HDMI 1.3a use the same connector as HDMI 1.2a

Although this spec is not in the mainstream today, all future developments will likely require the additional bandwith. The question seems to be:
Do you pay for the bandwith today, one time; or pay for the cheaper spec today and again in the future for the bandwith (10.2 gbps).

Only you can access the relative merits.

Hope this helps.

What actual length you need as you have two different length listed. But, if it s only 3ft, either one will work well.

Yes, it's 3 feet or less. The first cable listed only came in 3 feet as its shortest length. It's just to connect the DVR & Dvd player up to the receiver so it is a pretty short distance.

If you think #2 will work just as well, I'd rather have a more flexible cable & color coding.

Anyone else?

Sure that will work at 3ft or 1.5ft.
