Projector room size requirements.

Hi folks. I"m currently in the process of buying a new home and I'd like to know what the room size requirements would have to be as far as throwing distance and how high the ceiling would have to be to get roughly a 100" display in a few years. I've always wanted to setup a projector in my home theater so I want to make sure that I can do it in this new home, probably in the basement. Any help, guidance or information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Minimum size for this type of setup I would call a 12'x10'x7' room. Viewing distance of about 10-11 feet is fine for that screen size.

Larger rooms can handle larger setups, and higher ceilings are always nice.

Paint the room dark, get dark carpet, and dark furniture.
