problems with harman kardon avr235

have recently bought a harman kardon avr 235, things were going well till ofcourse the unit went into standby while we were watching a film. The unit does not swtich on now and I really don't know what to do. (It stays in the standby mode)
If anyone has any information on this problem would appreciate the help
