pre-amp processor and processors

1st entry - I've just read an article on the Emotiva UMC-200, an AV-PreAmp processor. I'm replacing my old Yamaha receiver. I've decided not to go with a receiver, but my question is - do I need an amplifier as well as the pre-amp processor? Sorry for the lame question. The processor has want I want and I don't need "theatre power". Thanks.

Yes, you need a power amp with these.

amps are cheap. go crazy. scour cl and you can find good stereo amps from $50 up
