Hello,

I'm fairly clueless at home audio and just received a set of speakers and a subwoofer from my father in law. The catch is that they did not come with an amp/receiver, and I'd definitely appreciate any help you all could give me on selecting one and setting it up with my TV. I'm not looking for anything fancy or super loud, and I'm hoping to spend less than $200, though let me know if that's totally unrealistic.

Speakers: 2x Definitive Technology Bipolar BP8B Floor-Standing Speaker

The two speakers seem to have different wires coming off of them:
Speaker 1 Wires
Speaker 2 Wires

Subwoofer: Velodyne CT-100

The sub seems to have speaker inputs, which I don't get - I figured the speakers and sub would both connect to the receiver?

Thanks again for any help you can provide!

Any receiver with binding posts will take both types of speaker wire terminators. How bout this Denon E300? Its Audyssey MultiEQ room correction should make your speakers sound great.

Oh, by the way, ignore the speaker inputs on that subwoofer. Use the RCA cable.
