The other day, I tried to set up the video on my Panasonic 42" HD Plasma monitor using the AVIA DVD. I couldn't get the Brightness or Contrast to work using the test patterns and the color tests using the red, green and blue filters just didn't seem right either. I am playing the DVD through a Sony progressive scan DVD player directly to the Plasma monitor using high quality component cables. Is it the DVD player? Do I need to adjust some setting(s) on it? I did the same adjustments on my Panasonic 50" HD plasma monitor through a differenct Sony DVD player using component cables with the video running through a Sony 3000es receiver and had no problems. What am I missing or doing wrong? Any suggestions, hints, tips would be appreciated.
