what connection are u using from your receiver to the tv? With some receivers what ever connections u use to put the signal into the receiver or the same ones u have to run to the tv as well. Example:
If you use components to run your DVD player to the receiver u have to have components going from the receiver to the tv. The hdmi going from your receiver to your tv probably won't carry the signal. I know on my Yamaha it won't.
