PANASONIC cordless phone issue

we have a 3 handset panny cordless phone system. M# kx-tga430b

the problem. it say there is a "new voice mail" on 2 of the handsets. my wife is well versed on deleteing messages off. but we just cannot get the message lights to stop flashing , and show no message.

i am hoping someone here has delt with this. and can help.

Try completely unplugging it, the phone line too, along with removing the battery from the hand set for a minute or two.

we took the batteries out many times, sometimes for days. i am now trying the unplug thing.

I have a special hammer just for pieces of equipment like that.

Try...press and hold OFF button on each of those handset for few seconds until the handset beeps.

If that doesnt work, try to unregister those two handsets and re-register it again.

Yeah unregister them. Just simply take your favourite hammer and smash them into little pieces. Then you collect the pieces and glue them back together. Which would be the reregistering process.

P.S. I have no idea how to unregister a phone from it's base station.

Deregister I should say and then re-register. Look on page 26 in this manual.
