I'm ready to get a new tv for the daughters room. Her old 27" CRT finally died. Any opinions on this deal? I use a 20" Olevia LCD for my PC, and it's been rock solid for almost 2 years. I think I paid $349 at the time, which makes this deal look really nice.

Going down in size might take some getting used to......and anyway, what kind of HT enthusiast would even consider downsizing It's almost subversive.

Oppo has a nice little unit with built in DVD player for a little more $$ that looks pretty neat.

Well if shes been a really good kid you might want to spring for an HD set. Beach Camera has a good deal going right now. Purchase last year's 27" LT-27HVX for $579 (free shipping) and get the newly released 527V Olevia 27" instead - New model includes ATSC Tuner for over-the-air High-Definition reception (antenna required) + HDMI input.

I dont own one but I've researched it. I'm thinking it would make a pretty nice bedroom set. Everyone seems to agree that the HVX has an awsome little picture and so-so sound, and a very basic remote. I haven't seen the new one yet.

I'd check out some of the pricegrabber.com reviews of the the HVX and see of there are any of the replacement (probably too soon).
