Hooking this Amp Onkyo RZ50 to Monoprice IW THX 4 ohm speakers for fronts and MP 8ohm in ceiling for surrounds and atmos.

What impedance settings do I use? I have heard some say stick with whatever the speaker is rated at and some say set it over for more head room. eg: 6ohm for a 4 ohm speaker.

Officially, you should follow what they say in the owner's manual.

From performance standpoint, some people might/would prefer to leave it at the 6 ohm setting, because they don't want the device to limit the output. Those users likely feel comfortable that for their own use, they will never turn the volume high enough to put the device at risk anyway.
