No sound Pioneer vsx 522k

I have a Pioneer vsx 522k. Suddenly I am not receiving any sound through my speakers, I am however getting sound through the headphones. It is set to HDMI AMP, but the adv surround indicates only phones surround. It is almost as if the receiver thinks the headphones are plugged in even when they are not. Any advice?

Almost certainly you have a faulty head phone jack and the switch that makes it open circuit to the power amps, is staying that way and not closing when you pull out the headphone plug.

The headphone jack will need replacing.
