No picture after setting tv to 1080P

I have the SC-PT950 Panasonic DVD Home Theater Sound System. I set the DVD to 1080P. Now the TV has no picture. My TV is a Phillips 37" LCD 1080I. What caused this problem. I now have no picture on the TV to allow me to change back to another setting. No menu. Anyone have a clue how to solve this problem??? Thanks, Jeff

More than likely the display doesnt accept 1080p. Output 720p to the display.

I cannot do that because I can't see any of the menu functions on my screen.

Reset your unit to factory default or connect a composite cable to the display to make the changes.

I can't find out how to restore factory default settings anywhere in the manual. Do you happen to know how to do that. Thanks for your help by the way. Jeff.

The easiest solution would be to temporarily connect a composite cable (yellow RCA connector) to the TV. That should allow you to see the menu and change the HDMI output to 1080i or 720p.
