New Surround Sound System

First Post.

I've recently invested in a Denon AVR 2312 Receiver
Four mirage prestige speakers
1 mirage center
1 mirage 400W subwoofer

I'm wondering if I would be better off using my two old Cerwan Vega loud speakers for the fronts (R28 or R38, which ever has the 10ch sub) and making the mirage speakers my rears and mids in a 7.1 setup?

Would I be better off keeping the Cerwan's for music only and using the Mirages for the surround sound?

you already own the stuff so what would it hurt to try it out... Im not a 7.1 fan, in the last 3-4 years I dont think there is 100 movies with it yet...

The Cerwans sound pretty good and I moved the sub to the back of the room since the Cerwans provide their own base. I haven't put the mirages back up yet, waiting on more banana posts.
