Need opinions on locating my left surround speaker

If I mount my left surround speaker on the wall (below where it's currently sitting) it will not be at the right height per Dolby's specs. Should I keep it sitting on the ledge or not? Please see photos

First of all, nice setup! I have the Ultra BS' too. I just ordered a third for my center channel.

That ledge does look almost perfect. I'm assuming you want it off there for aesthetic reasons and it might be in the way? I'm wondering if you do mount it on the wall, maybe angling it up a little so the tweeters are pointing at roughly ear level (or slightly over, whatever's recommended) might do the trick.

First of all, nice setup! I have the Ultra BS' too. I just ordered a third for my center channel.

Yeah, getting knocked off that ledge would suck pretty hard. See what the others say about my suggestion. I'd be constantly worried about that. lol
