i have an older bose built invisible system in our home. The system has two amps: one main amp and one extension amp.

One of these amps may have gone bad and I would like to test each to see if there is any output signal.

My question(s) is this:
a. do I use a multi meter set on "milli-amp" for this test
and
b. what output or input connections do I connect to in order to see if a signal is being output?

I am not very familiar with a.v. equipment. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Hi! Welcome to the fourm.

Bose has propriety technology/connections/devices not seen by folks outside the owner circle. The quickest option will be to call their help line or take the amps to a qualified tech.

Also, you might get a better response if you post some details about the amps, how they are connected, etc.

It might work best if you can post a picture or link for the specific amps in question. Use the Post pad Thread because it takes 5 posts before one can submit a link in the message.
