To put together a $1,000 system for a new user can be a bit daunting. A system of this price is going to require some cost cutting measures. For $1,000 you are going to have a hard time finding anything but small, satellite speakers. Receivers will have HDMI and 3D but not much else. But we've managed to put together a system that not only has all 5 speakers and a sub, but also a Blu-ray player, Netflix and more streaming, and a full fledged receiver.
