Cineversum has announced two new anamorphic lens kits, designed specifically for the Blackwing One, both of which facilitate “constant height” Cinemascope viewing. The BlackWing One Theater Concept Kit (MSRP $12,840) contains an ultra high-quality, motorized slider mechanism; a full-glass, a precision ground spherical anamorphic lens; a radio-frequency remote control unit, and an RF emitter for a 12V trigger.

My first reaction was "dude, that's expensive!". But after a few seconds thought, I think that it's good to see products like this coming to market for all the CIH-fans. They are slowly getting cheaper, but I don't see products like this dropping to sub 8k levels any time soon. It's amazing how much the upper-end lens setup go for. I'm not saying they aren't nicer than prism-based lens, but 10x more dollars (CavX vs Isco III)!?!?!
