I have a set of the Monoprice HDMI over CAT5e wall plates that I use to connect my PC to my TV over about 40 feet of CAT6. I installed them almost a year ago and had no issues at all with my old TV (Panasonic TH-42PZ77). The red lights on the wall plates lit up bright and there were no problems with the picture.
Now, with my new 54G25 I seem to have issues. When I have the TV on a different HDMI input (from my receiver) the red lights are on and all seems well. When I switch to the HDMI input where the balun is plugged into the red lights shut off! I still get a perfect picture but only for about 30 minutes. After that it starts jumping and I get green sparklies until I resync HDMI.
I don't understand why this is happening. All HDMI ports provide the required 5v of power. Right? Why would one TV be different than another?
