My local Marantz dealer mentioned that I consider nothing less then the Marantz 6400 DVD player for a large projection (LCD) type. At about $500 it is a bit more then I was thinking about paying for a DVD player. Any comments about the use of lower cost DVD players when used with large LCD projection screens? Denon is the other possible unit as it's pretty much a toss up on these two for a AVR.

I've heard (and seen, on a 42 plasma) fantastic results come out of the Panasonic players. They really have some of, if not the best video quality of any sub-$500 player. You can pick up one of the mid range Panasonics (is it the dvd-s47?) for about $80. Kicks the crap out of the Sony DVP 875 that was also connected to the tv... Of course the Marantz gets you DVD-A and SACD audio too.
