Hi to all
Can anyone advise my best move on replacing the broken remote for my receiver. It is definately not repairable and have tried to get a replacement through my local dealer and are still waiting for the phone call. The remote is a RC 8500 SR and i see there are a few that look the same on E-Bay but have different serial numbers at the bottom. Whats my best move????

Regards
Gazza

I am not sure what you mean by Serial Number as it really shouldn't be relevant to the remote, did you mean product number?

Quick Google Search:

Contact 1-800-Remotes (US Address)
$91.00

Looks like they also fix dead remotes as well, have not used them.

I assume you also contacted Marantz about a replacement:

Marantz US

Couldn't find anyone on ebay selling it and the other resellers I checked did not have it in stock. I will call that fist link and see what they may cost to fix yours.

This might sound crazy, but did you try to contact Marantz directly?
