The Marantz PM 8004 is rated to handle 4ohm speakers. Is this integrated amp robust enough to really handle the load? Want to make sure as I have LSI 15 speakers to push.

Should have no problems at all. It's rated by Marantz for 4ohm loads.

I would be looking at room size, and speaker sensitivity as well. This will tell you more about whether the amp will work your Polks.

I have a few other speaker options too.
RF-82's that would be easy to drive
Infinity P363.. Should be OK but I hear these are 4ohm and not really 8

All the speakers you have listed would be great matches. As well as great speakers. :D

I have heard some Klipsch models have been known to have tricky impedance curves with drops down to 2ohms. Not sure if this is the case with that model. But something to think about. Given the efficiency I doubt it would be a problem considering the robust amp section in the Marantz.

How big is the room your working with, and your listening distance ?

This is my bedroom system so it's a rather small 18x16 room.
It's also my second system since my main 2 channel line up is all Emotiva gear.

Seriously, I have no life.

18'x16' is larger than a lot of living rooms. How loud will you play it and how high is the ceiling? Cubic volume and distance from speaker to listener(s) matter more than floor area.

They give a 4 ohm rating, but the PMs usually are only recommended with 6 Ohm loads like all other Marantz amps. Plus the 15s are pretty large. I ran my PM7200 with my A/V-2s which are 2.6-4.0 Ohms and it was fine in a room about that size. As long as you aren't looking for extreme volume, I think it will be OK.
