Low cost server options

I have a basic one-room home theater system. I am not looking for anything fancy. My CD collection is getting large and I would like to be able to load them into a server or jukebox type device. I want to maintain sound quality (no MP3's). What is the cheapest practical solution for me?

Digital Media Receivers / Media Hubs

Digital Media Receivers are good if one wants to connect a PC to a home theater system or any stereo so that one can conveniently play songs without having to swap CDs. You can always store tons of songs on a computer hard drive. Mp3@192 bit rate will give you CD quality music.
