Laptop to Samsung HT TZ325 Home theatre system connection

can anyone help me by advising how to connect my laptop to my hometheatre to get 5.1 sound and video
tried bluetooth gives sound in 2 speakers and no video
my sony laptop doen't have hdmi
will usb cable work??
any suggestions?

Your HTIB doesn't accept any incoming video connections, but It does have optical digital audio in. To connect your laptop you'll need to get USB to Optical adapter, something like this one:

For video - use VGA out from laptop and connect it straight to your TV
