I was able to get this sub from a guy on craigslist, he was just giving it away.
he told me it had a load hum and would not work. so I took it anyway. got it home and hooked it up, set gain to about half and could not here anything so I turned up the gain and it started working, when I get real close I can here a buzz.

what do you all think is wrong with the sub, and do you all think it is worth fixing?

I do aleady have a sub but was wondering if I could use them both?

There are several possibilities of issues. But if the Sound is still good it was free so who can complain. You could certainly try integrating it with your current sub. Never hurts to try.
