Hello I recently brought a Sony STR1030 receiver. I am new to the home-theater game. My mother gave me her old Sony stereo system with the tape player, 50 disc changer, 2 floor 3 way speakers, and older center speaker, and small shelf speakers. I tried hooking my speakers to my receiver and and turned the fm on and didn't get any sound from my speakers. Is the newer Sony receivers compatible with older the older equipment?
