I have 2 jbl g400, a B&W cc6, 2 infinity rs 2000 and a Yamaha RX-V461.

Is this an acceptable arrangement of speakers and receiver ? I have squired these all from friends of mine and all sound great. Is there anything I need to know in setting them up for the best listening experience and is a subwoofer nessicary ?

A subwoofer is never necessary but many appreciate it's contribution.

To get seamless sound across the front as it pans from one side to the other, ideally the center should be the same as main L, R. A compromise is to have it from the same series.
