Robert Moog died Sunday.

Without him, many of the most influential rock albums (in my life) might never have been made.

Yeah, I heard about it. Really too bad. The sound of his synthesizers helped shape a lot of music. A big loss, indeed.

Without Bob Moog music would bear little resemblance to what it actually is today. He was not just a great inventor, but by all accounts, an all around great guy and a HUGE music fan. http://www.createdigitalmusic.com/ had some great words and links last week.

I have not seen it yet, but the documentary on Moog released last year is on my list.
