Hello im a total noob when it comes to headphones.Ive been using 10$ headphones all my life and decided to try somewhat better headphones.I play a lot of fps games, especially cs:go but im kinda addicted to music too.I cant stop listening to music for about 5-6 hours a day despite having a crappy headset.I heard cloud II s have "7.1 virtual surround" or something which is supposed to be good for gaming but i dont know if thats just another marketing thing. And i heard mdr 7506 have really clear sound which is good for me but they say its made for tracking etc. and isnt good for listening to music. So as you can see im a bit confused here.Which headphone is better for me?Or if you have some other headphone in mind for less than 100$ please let me know :)

Edit:Oh and i need a mic too so if you know something detachable etc. and about 15$ would be happy to hear.

Great suggestion above. Few more option to consider
a) clearly MD's AKG M220 are clearly based on these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0001ARCFA/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687502&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0016MOA7A&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=DX9BTE5TZZQF3VC4BY84
Keep in mind, later are often on sale as low as $46 with free shipping and MassDrop does NOT accept returns after order shipped.... read that again...

b) very cheap, but very good Samson's:
https://www.amazon.com/Samson-SR850-Professional-Reference-Headphones/dp/B002LBSEQS
c) Sens 518 - again often on sale as low as $45 - set alerts with The Traktor
https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-518-Headphones-Black/dp/B0042A68R8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1471733779&sr=8-1&keywords=sennheiser+hd+518

d) And finally- why not all in one: https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Multi-Platform-Headset-Xbox-360-63043006306200/dp/B008VQ68C4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1471733608&sr=8-2&keywords=sennheiser+pc+320#customerReviews

From my experience with various headsets and mics - in most cases best sound is produced by placing headphones near mouth.

Like expression goes - No one got fired for buying IBM, pretty much goes for Sennheiser as well.
I own 3 different Sens - and all of them perform well above their price points.

First of all thank you for your responses :)

40$ for the mic and 50$ for the headphones is not really balanced for me.I will use the mic for only occasional skype calls.Which is maybe once a day.So i would like to spend the most of the money for the sound quality.Sennheiser hd518 seems good but i heard it has way worse sound quality than 558's.But i will buy them if their price just drops to 50$ or so.Still would like to get your opinion about 558's cause i kinda lean towards them.

Funny you should mention 558....You see, I own a pair ...
They sound the awesome and I think I got them on sale for $80. Only issue worth mentioning is if you have large head - they might be a tight fit, but after few months of use they do get a bit looser (or skull shrinks, not sure - pick one ;))

Sennheiser makes some great headphones but their mics fall behind in quality unfortunately so I would get modmic over it.

I used to have cheap mic before I got modmic and I can say its well worth the price. Sound quality is much better and clearer and modmic is transferrable to any headphone you might upgrade to later on. 50$ for headphones and 40$ for this mic is not bad combo at all. Of course you can buy more expensive headphones like Sennheiser HD558/HD598 but I would still suggest unidirectional modmic to pair with them.

What do you guys think about a hd518+modmic combo?A bit out of my budget but still, sounds good.Any huge sound quality difference between 518 and 558?

Should work really well. I personally haven't heard HD518 so can't say much about them. I have heard the HD558/HD598 and they are great for the value. I would expect HD518 to be good for their price point as well as they review quite well.

At work I use Plantronics Voyager Focus UC headset (unfortunately it's 3x OP's budget) and it's mic is freaking amazing, truly heads and shoulders above cheap logitech headsets others use. I have no experience with ModMic and it may be as good as T says it is, but if you only will need very occasionally - mic quality may not be big concern.
