HTPC calibration with Upsilon Mixer or similar

Hi,

I have an HTPC hooked up to an Optoma 25e and would like to calibrate it. I will be getting an X-Rite Display 1 in the future to measure and calibrate it properly. There are some colour controls on the projector menus but nothing for greyscale. I have seen mention of the Upsilon Mixer software but I cannot find it anywhere.

Is it still available??

Is there anything else that anyone can recommend??

Can I just use the Nvidia control panel to adjust the video card output??

or should I use windows video settings to adjust the video output??

Do I adjust the projector first and get it as close as I can and then tweek it with the HTPC settings??

Thanks, CanadianZ

I was planning on calibrating the projector first. Is there any software like the Upsilon Mixer out there?? Like I mentioned I don't have full greyscale control and would love it if something could help from the PC side.

Absolutely, I am looking at SpectraCal and HCFR and a couple of others. I am wondering about where to adjust the settings. First on the projector and then on the PC??

Is there a program that helps with colour settings on the PC??
