How to connect a DAC (from an IMac) to desktop speakers and a set of RCA jacks at the same time. The RCA jacks run through wire to a receiver (in another room) that disperses the music to 8 ceiling speakers. I want the music to come out of the computer desktop speakers and to be sent to the receiver in the other room (via rca) at the same time. Also I'd like the dac to have a headphone output and amp as well. Any suggestions???

Not sure I follow what the problem is. If the DAC is internal, then the output should be via analog RCA jacks. If you’re looking at an external DAC, then same thing – the outputs will be analog RCA. If you want to get signal to both desktop speakers and the remote receiver, then all you need is a pair of RCA splitters.
