I'm a newbie here so hopefully I picked the right forum.
I am needing some advice on how to connect my system together.

My system includes the following:
TV: 32" Samsung LN32A550 1080p LCD TV
Speakers: Revel F30 Performa Towers (2)
Revel C30 Center Channel
Revel B15 powered subwoofer
JBL LS326W 2-WAY 6" IN-WALL SPEAKER (2 Surrounds)
Amplifier: Cinepro 3k6 (the original)
Pre-Pro: Anthem AVM20
DVD Player: Currently Pioneer DV-563A (this will eventually be a CD Player as I will be purchasing a Blu-Ray capable player)
CD Player : will be above DVD Player
Satellite: Will be upgrading to DishNetwork HD/DVR player

Can someone help/guide me as to best method to connect what to what?
I have some balanced XLR cables for amp to pre-pro.
Thanks in advance for your help!

You will like your DishNetwork 722. Because you don't have HDMI, the best way to connect the 722 and future Blu Ray would be through component Y, Ra Rb and left/right audio through your AVM20. You can obtain 1080P to your
LN32A550. As an alternative you could use S-video.

Hi,

Let's assume I have blu-ray and hd/dvr (should be getting them in next couple of days)....I don't follow what you mean by I do not have HDMI?

I'm trying to figure out which cables are best between systems. Am I making sense?

Any cables you need you should get from Blue Jeans Cable...

for bluray you will need to connect hdmi directly to the tv, all other video sources could be feed through the avm20, like your hd dvr, dvd, game console, ect. for switching purposes. As for connecting any other gear could you be more specific, like is anything in the system connected

Right now I only have my amp connected to the anthem avm20 with XLR cables. Trying to figure out which TYPE (not brand) of cables is best to connect the other components and how to connect them to get best video/sound quality. Thanks.

bandphan,

thanks, I currently have my amp connet to my avm20 with xlr cables.
If my blu-ray goes to TV w/ HDMI, should I use audio component to avm20?
Univ. DVD Player AND Satellite HD Receiver - would this be the same - HDMI to TV and Audio component to Anthem avm20? Will this allow 5.1 channel to play?

New Turntable

I've got a new turntable that I want to hook up to my old soundsystem
because my old turntable is completely shot. I've connected the new turntable into the white and red phono ports on the back of the soundsystem, but when i try to play the turntable, the sound doesnt get picked up and sent through the speakers. Instead, all I hear is the very faint sound from the turntable itself.

The model of the turntable is a Technics SL-DD22 and the soundsystem is an
AIWA Z-L700

any help would be greatly appreciated

if your getting a bluray that processes hd audio feed it to your analog pre-ins on the anthem.
