Help : Alpine Type S New Surround

I recently ordered a "used - like new" alpine type s 12 off of amazon. When the speaker arrived I noticed there was a large tear in the surround and spots look like the surround has begun to deteriorate. After sending the information back to amazon they issued a full refund, but did not request the speaker back as it was a 3rd party seller.

My question is can I purchase a 12" foam surround repair kit and just repair the sub, or do I need to have one made for it?

I believe you should be able to repair it with correct kit. I don't know if there is different kits for subwoofers but I'm sure some one with more information about this subject will give the needed information for you.
