Over ordered to cover my but to finish system build and have all cables needed when pro comes Friday to hook up and test
From 8802a to xpa 5 gen 3 , XLR balanced interconnects
From 8802a to a700 I have 2 options

Option 1
XLR from pre to RCA to a700 amp
Option 2
RCA to RCA
pro guy said RCA to RCA
Whats the difference , and i am a newbee but i think the XLR to RCA converts balanced to unbalanced correct ?

No benefit to the balanced connector in your case, just use rca as was suggested. Is it a relatively short distance between the pre and amp anyways?

Going from a balanced XLR output to an unbalanced RCA input is sometimes tricky. So if you only have a RCA input, use the RCA output.
