Have a pair of rs nova 8b speakers: want to upgrade

Hi to all, this is a great place to be a part of, have a pair of rs nova 8b speakers in outstanding condition, they're about 40yrs old, I've had them for about 8yrs., I'm maintenance tech and someone left them in a vacant apartment, everything looks great, I cleaned them up and they still sound great, can they be upgraded to enhance the sound even more, once again the quality of the sound is just simply great, just concerned about the age of the components...THANKS TO ALL!!! By the way I have a denon 1912 avr.

There's a crossover mod for those speakers documented over at Audio Karma that looks pretty interesting. According to that thread, the stock crossover only has a first-order crossover on the tweets, so modding with a more modern crossover would probably be a worthwhile upgrade.
